First School in Ottawa with TWO new chargers – Inauguration tomorrow Tuesday April 22
I am proud to announce that tomorrow TimeToElectrify.ca will participate in its first ever official inauguration of TWO electric chargers at École secondaire Franco-Cité (high school), 623 Smyth Road, in Ottawa. The first school in Ottawa to offer EV chargers !!
The CECCE School Board installed the two chargers as they are in the process of adding a third gym and 6 classrooms. I am happy that I had the opportunity to meet the great people from CECCE and convince them to accomplish this !!!
The two chargers are from SunCountryHighway and both are LCS-60. Yes, 60 amps !!
The inauguration will be at 1 PM in front of the school. More than 10 EVs (Tesla, Volt and Leaf) will be there and available for adults to do some test drives.
If you want to stop by, you are welcome !!
More details of the inauguration and pictures soon …
Good job Eric.
How accessible will the chargers be?
They will be open for public use. Since the school is funded by Ontario public funds, a payment is required. More information about this coming soon.
These chargers will have smartphone based payment processing like the charger at the Ottawa Hospital in the staff parking. MobileNow will be the app to download and process the credit card payment. It will likely be 3-4 weeks before this is complete however.
